Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 13, 2026
The short version: We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. If you upload evidence to Vericite, it belongs to you and only you.
1. Information we collect
When you visit the website
We automatically collect your IP address, approximate location (city and country), browser type, and the time of your visit. This data is collected for security monitoring and to deter unauthorized access to protected content.
When you join the waitlist
We collect the email address you provide, along with your IP address and the page you signed up from. We use this only to notify you when Vericite becomes available and to send occasional product updates.
When you use the platform (future)
When the Vericite platform launches, you will be able to upload evidence files for analysis. These files may contain sensitive personal information. We treat all uploaded evidence as strictly confidential. Specifics of how evidence data is handled are outlined in Section 4 below.
2. How we use your information
- Security and access control: Visitor logs help us monitor for unauthorized access attempts and protect our users' content.
- Communication: Waitlist emails are used solely for product updates and launch notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Service delivery: Evidence files you upload will be processed only to build your timeline and generate reports.
- Product improvement: We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the platform. We will never use your evidence content for this purpose.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
- We do not use your evidence files to train AI models.
- We do not access your evidence content except as needed to provide the service or respond to a valid legal process.
4. Evidence data handling
We understand that the files people bring to Vericite are often deeply personal and legally sensitive. Our approach to evidence data:
- Encryption: All evidence files are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
- Isolation: Each user's data is logically isolated. No other user or team can access your files.
- Ownership: You own your data. We claim no intellectual property rights over anything you upload.
- Deletion: You can delete your data at any time. When you delete files, they are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, including backups.
- Legal review: If you opt in to professional legal review, your timeline and report will be shared with our vetted legal partners under attorney-client privilege protections. This only happens with your explicit consent.
5. Third-party services
We use the following services to operate Vericite:
- Cloudflare (website hosting and DDoS protection): processes visitor IP addresses and location data.
- Supabase (database hosting): stores waitlist signups and, in the future, user accounts and metadata.
- Google Apps Script (visitor log processing): receives anonymized visit data for security monitoring.
Each of these providers maintains their own privacy practices. We select providers that meet industry-standard security requirements.
6. Data retention
- Visitor logs: Retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Waitlist data: Retained until you request removal or the product launches, whichever comes first.
- Evidence data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure or deletion request.
7. Your rights
Regardless of where you're located, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate information.
- Delete your data from our systems.
- Export your data in a standard format.
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hi@cristiandominguez.com. We respond to all requests within 14 days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify waitlist members by email and post a notice on the website. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent version.
